Ultimate Fighting Championship's (UFC) reigning lightweight king Frankie Edgar kept his crown after settling for a draw in a rematch against Gray Maynard on Saturday (Sunday in Manila).
Edgar and Maynard headlined the "UFC 125: Resolution" event held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Judges scored the bout 48-46, 46-48, 47-47.
Edgar earlier vowed to defeat Maynard, the only mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter who has tainted his 13-win record.
Maynard, meanwhile, stayed undefeated with 11 wins.
