GMA Network wins two EMMA


GMA Network recently bagged two EMMA (Excellence in Multi-Cultural Marketing Awards) during the 24th Annual Conference of the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC) held last September 14 to 15 at the Hilton New York in Manhattan.

Its entry, “Comcast GMA Life TV Upsell Marketing Tactic,” landed 2nd Place in both Direct Mail and Print Marketing Tactics categories under the Networks/Industry Suppliers awards division. Above photo shows GMA Marketing Consultant Grace Labaguis receiving the award.

NAMIC, through EMMA, recognizes the members of the cable industry and their efforts in reaching different cultural segments through their creative and innovative marketing strategies.

Time Warner Cable was also awarded 1st Place for the distribution of GMA Pinoy TV and GMA Life TV Launch Postcard featuring Darna. Time Warner won the Direct Mail Marketing Tactics award under the Cable Companies division.

GMA Pinoy TV is GMA Network’s flagship international channel, which carries award-winning news and public affairs programs and top-notch entertainment shows from the Kapuso Network. GMA Life TV, in turn, is the network’s second international channel that features a mix of the two genres, plus various lifestyle programs suited for Pinoys all over the world.
